Dr. Lisa Ali is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and National Certified Counselor serving as Clinical Assistant Professor at Adams State University's School of Counselor Education. With over 20 years of clinical experience, her work centers trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and decolonized approaches to healing.She is the developer of the Transracial Adoption Counseling Assessment (TRACA), the only known counselor self-assessment instrument measuring competency in working with transracial adoptees. As a transracial adoptee herself, her clinical and scholarly work is grounded in lived experience, ancestral reconnection, and multicultural identity development.Dr. Ali is also the creator of the H.E.A.L. Path framework (Honor, Engage, Affirm, Liberate), which supports ancestral healing and cultural reclamation for individuals navigating complex identity and lineage work.
