About me
Margaret Poandl is an Assistant Professor of Education at the University of Virginia and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Since 2012, she has practiced clinical mental health counseling in inpatient, community, and outpatient settings, and is trained in EMDR. Her research focus is posttraumatic growth in therapeutic settings and interpersonal trauma. She earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University, an M.A. in Counseling from Wake Forest University, and a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Virginia.
