About me
Justen Schroeder is an Assistant Professor at Doane University (NE). He graduated with his Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He graduated with a Master's of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wichita State University (KS), specializing in Sports Counseling. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. He was recently awarded the prestigious Chi Sigma Iota Leadership Fellow for 2025-2026. served as a Doctoral Student Representative and is the former Treasurer of the Theta Alpha Mu Chapter of CSI. Justen is the recipient of the Scholar Achievement in Graduate Education (SAGE) Fellowship from TAMU-CC in 2023-2026. Justen regularly contributes to professional conferences and events at the local, state, and national levels. Justen’s research interests include Counselor Education, Sports Counseling, Counseling Student-Athletes, Resiliency, and Research Mentorship.
